Horned Frogs begin the season Nov. 2 vs. Lindenwood
FORT WORTH – For the second consecutive season, TCU will host two games against teams from Power Conferences, starting a home-and-home series with Clemson and Texas A&M. The Horned Frogs will open the regular season on Nov. 2 vs. Lindenwood as the complete nonconference schedule was released on Friday.
The previously announced game with Texas A&M will take place on Nov. 19 with a return game in College Station, Texas in the 2026-27 season. Clemson will visit Schollmaier Arena for the first time on Dec. 12. The Frogs will play in Clemson, S.C., at Littlejohn Coliseum on Dec. 16, 2028.
The season-opener on Nov. 2 will serve as the first meeting with Lindenwood and also the earliest start date in program history. Other first meetings are with Milwaukee on Nov. 13 and Holy Cross on Dec. 19.
The Horned Frogs will begin the season with five-straight home games before heading to Las Vegas for the Players Era Tournament there they will face Miami in the first round at 2 p.m. CT on Nov. 24. Following two more games in Las Vegas, TCU will play at Notre Dame on Dec. 5 before finishing nonconference play with five-straight home games. The Fighting Irish came to Schollmaier Arena for a game last season as did Michigan, which went on to win the NCAA Championship.
TCU recently completed two exhibitions during its foreign tour in Costa Rica. The Horned Frogs defeated the University of Ottawa 93-66 on Aug. 1 and 99-70 on Aug. 2. Two newcomers led TCU in scoring behind sophomore guard Gavin Sykes who averaged 20 points over the two games, making 8-of-14 3-point attempts. Sophomore forward DJ Thomas averaged 13 points and 5.0 rebounds.
Returning from last season's NCAA Tournament team are All-Big 12 forward Xavier Edmonds, Bock Harding, Micah Robinson and Tanner Toolson.
