TCU sophomores are in the top 20 after two rounds
FORT WORTH – In a tournament that features 14 of the nation's top 23 teams, TCU men's golf is in seventh after two rounds of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
The Horned Frogs shot 10-over 570 following rounds of 2-over and 5-over Monday at Colonial Country Club.
Sophomores Nathan Miller and Sam Udovich are in the top 20. Miller, whose day included a TCU low score of 4-under 68, is tied for 13th placed at 1-over 141. Udovich is tied for 18th place at 2-over 142 and had TCU's best second round score of even-par 70.
Making his collegiate debut, freshman Blake Brown had consecutive rounds of 2-over 72 and shot 4-over 144 for the day to tie for 38th place.
Freshman Cameron Kuchar shot an opening round of even-par 70 and went 5-over 144 for the day. He's tied with Charlie Wylie for 44th place.
North Carolina's Niall Sheils Donegan is in a four-way tie for first place after shooting an opening round 9-under 61. It was officially a course record at Colonial Country Club, which reopened in 2024 after a course renovation. Prior to 2024, there were seven individuals who shot 61, all of which did so during the PGA TOUR event.
Auburn leads the team standings at 6-under.
The Horned Frogs begin the final round at 7:48 a.m. on hole No. 1. Admission is free.
