Kuchar Captures Win at Bearcat Invitational

Frogs place second as a team
CINCINNATI, Ohio – In his second collegiate tournament, Cameron Kuchar captured his first title Tuesday's final round of the Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday.
Kuchar shot 9-under 204, the same as Michael Lugiano of Liberty, to earn co-champion honors. The two also began the day tied for the lead. Kuchar tallied four birdies on the day and shot 1-under on the front and 1-under on the back.
Son of the PGA TOUR's Matt Kuchar, Cameron became the second TCU freshman in as many years to win a tournament. Current sophomore Nathan Miller was co-champion of the Watersound Invitational last season. Prior to Miller, a TCU freshman hadn't won a tournament since Julien Brun in 2012.
Liberty (-15) edged out TCU (-12) for the team title. The two teams switched spots on the leaderboard throughout the round and at the conclusion, both teams were 1-under for the round. The Horned Frogs defeated the home team and defending champion Cincinnati (-10) by two strokes.
Sam Udovich earned fifth-career top 10 finish, placing tied for sixth with a score of 4-under 208. The sophomore was 1-under 70 on Tuesday.
Charlie Wylie and Toby Wilt tied for 35th place at 2-over 215. Wylie shot 1-over 72 in the final round and Wilt was 3-over 74.
Miller shot 1-over 72 on Tuesday to tie for 55th place at 5-over 218.
