Frogs Play at Colonial Monday, Tuesday
FORT WORTH – TCU will host one of the nation's premier college golf tournaments, the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational Presented by Charles Schwab, at Colonial Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Outside of the NCAA Championships in May, there won't be a better collection of college golf teams at a tournament than this as 14 of the 16 programs competing are ranked in the top 23, including nine ranked in the top 12. Of the eight teams that qualified for match play at the NCAA Championship, six are in the field at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
The first two rounds will be played on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday's third round will have teams going off holes No. 1 and 10 with tee times as early as 8 a.m. The winner of the tournament will get an exemption into the 2027 Charles Schwab Challenge.
TCU will go with the lineup of sophomore Sam Udovich, freshman Cameron Kuchar, junior Charlie Wylie, sophomore Nathan Miller and freshman Blake Brown.
There is no admission fee for patrons to attend.

THE COURSE – Par 70 | 7,289 yards
Colonial Country Club has hosted an annual PGA Tour event since 1946, the longest running non-major tour event to be held at the same venue. The club was started in 1936 and hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Open. The course sits along the bank of the Trinity River and is located less than a mile from the campus of TCU.
TEAM/TOURNAMENT/PROGRAM NOTES
- TCU is coming off a runner-up finish at the Bearcat Invitational where Cameron Kuchar was co-champion after shooting 9-under at Coldstream Country Club. The freshman currently leads the team with a scoring average of 70.33.
- Second in scoring average is Nathan Miller at 70.50, who was TCU's top finisher at the season-opening Pan Pacific University Super League Tournament in Japan.
- The Frogs finished tied for 13th at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational last season. Virginia won the event. Jack Beauchamp (+3) was TCU's top finisher as he tied for 17th place.
- TCU received 21 votes in Friday's Bushnell/Golfweek D1 Coaches' Poll.
- This is the ninth time that the tournament will be held at Colonial Country Club. Originally called the Nike Collegiate Invitational, Colonial hosted the event in 2014, 2016 and 2018 while alternating with Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore. The tournament moved to Fort Worth full-time in 2020 and was played as the Colonial Collegiate Invitational in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, the tournament was renamed the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational. The 2022 and 2024 editions were held at Colonial, while the 2023 event took place at Shady Oaks Country Club during Colonial's course renovation.
