Men Place Third at Texas A&M Invitational

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU cross country wrapped up its second meet of the season Friday morning at the Texas A&M Invitational, highlighted by a third-place finish from the men at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The Horned Frogs put four runners inside the top 15 of the men's 8K to finish with 72 points, trailing only Stephen F. Austin and Texas. Mohamed Kowa led the way for TCU, placing ninth with a time of 24:28.7. It marked the second consecutive week he's finished in the top 10.
Freshman Anthony Morales continued his strong start to the season, finishing 13th in 24:41.1. Zach Troutman followed right behind in 14th at 24:48.7, while CJ Meyer crossed the line 15th with a time of 24:51.1. Armando Morales rounded out TCU's scoring five in 21st, clocking a 25:03.4.
On the women's side, Chachi Gonzales paced TCU for the second straight meet, placing 15th overall with a time of 17:52.0. Georgia Scott was close behind in 18th dropping nearly a minute from a week ago with a time of 17:58.2. Kate Selover gave TCU three runners inside the top 21, finishing in 18:03.6 and improving her season best by 53.3 seconds.
Megan Calhoun finished 38th in 18:29.2 and Jordan White rounded out the scoring five in 45th at 18:38.2. All five of TCU's scorers improved their times from the John McKenzie Invitational as the Frogs totaled 132 points to finish fifth overall.
