COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU cross country hits the road for the first time this season, traveling to College Station for the Texas A&M Invitational on Friday, Sept. 11, at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The Horned Frogs opened the 2026 season last week with a pair of runner-up team finishes at the John McKenzie Invitational. Mohamed Kowa led the men's side with a third-place finish in the 5k, while freshman Anthony Morales impressed in his collegiate debut, placing sixth in overall. Zach Troutman and Brayden Schick also finished inside the top 10 as TCU scored 37 points.
On the women's side, Anastacia Gonzales paced the Frogs with an eighth-place finish in the 5k. Less than three months removed from earning All-America honors on the track, Georgia Scott placed 11th in her first cross country race of the season. Kate Selover, Megan Calhoun and Jordan White rounded out TCU's scoring five as the Frogs finished second with 56 points.
Friday will mark the first 8K of the season for the TCU men, while the women will race another 5K. The Frogs will compete in a deep field that includes host Texas A&M, Texas, SFA, Houston, SMU, Lamar, Louisiana, Sam Houston and several other programs from across the region.
