
TCU Places Third at Big 12 Championship

Udovich, Wright earn All-Tournament Team honors
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – TCU finished in third place at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
The Horned Frogs shot 1-under 1119 for the tournament, which was the third-lowest score vs. par in program history for 72 holes, always the length of play at the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Tournament. The third-place finish was TCU's best since the last time the Big 12 was held at Prairie Dunes as finished as runner-up in 2023.
The Frogs finished one stroke short of No. 20 Arizona and nine back of No. 5 Oklahoma State (-10) which won the team championship. The Cowboys' Preston Stout (-11) won a conference record third-straight Big 12 individual championship.
TCU freshman Sam Udovich finished in a tie for fourth place at 4-under 276. It was the highest finish at the event by a Horned Frog since Gustav Frimodt won the individual championship in 2024. Udovich shot 2-under 68 in the final round, besting Stout, who he was paired with, by two strokes. It was the Minnesota native's fourth top 10 finish this season.
Udovich and Lewis Wright earned All-Big 12 Tournament Team honors by finishing inside the top 12. Wright shot 1-over 281 overall and tied for 11th place, which was his fourth top 20 finish. For the third time during the week, Wright shot 1-under 71 in the final round.
Charlie Wylie tied for 19th place for his best finish of the season. The sophomore from Houston shot 3-over 283 overall following a round of 3-over 73.
Jack Beauchamp had his best round of the championship going 2-under 68. He moved up more than anyone in the field, improving 20 spots into a tie for 32nd place at 7-over 287 for his best finish in his third and final Big 12 Championship.
The Horned Frogs will learn what NCAA Regional they will play in on May 6 when the NCAA Selection Show airs on Golf Channel at 1 p.m.
