Edmonds, Punch Earn All-Big 12 Honors

TCU frontcourt recognized by Big 12 coaches
FORT WORTH – TCU's frontcourt duo Xavier Edmonds and David Punch were named All-Big 12 Conference on Monday.
Edmonds' 10 double-doubles in Big 12 games was the most of any player this season. The 10 double-doubles, also his season total, have all come in the last 13 games. The junior from Long Beach, Calif., also ranks third in Big 12 only games with a field goal percentage of 55.9.
Punch is averaging 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists. His 1.9 blocks per game this season ranks third in the Big 12. He ranks 11th in the Big 12 in shooting at 50.8 percent.
The sophomore from Harker Heights, Texas recorded 10 or more points 23 times, including 20 or more points five times. He's had three double-doubles this season, including one in Big 12 play when he had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the home win over Oklahoma State.
The Horned Frogs will begin play in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. TCU will play the winner in Tuesday's first round game between Colorado and Oklahoma State.
