3/14/2026 2:43:00 PM | Women's Basketball
Complete NCAA Tournament bracket will be unveiled at 7 p.m. on Sunday
FORT WORTH – The Big Dance will again unfold inside Schollmaier Arena, as TCU women's basketball was named a top 16 seed for the NCAA D1 Women's Basketball Championship and will host first and second round games.
The top 16 teams, as chosen by the D1 Women's Basketball Committee, were released alphabetically, and the order has no bearing on seeding. The complete NCAA Tournament bracket, including seed lines and regional assignments for all 68 teams, will be unveiled during the ESPN Selection Sunday Special from 7-8 p.m.
The NCAA Tournament begins with First Four games on Wednesday and Thursday. The first and second rounds run from Friday, March 20 through Monday, March 23.
TCU is set to play in the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time by virtue of its selection as a top 16 seed. Under the leadership of head coach Mark Campbell, the Horned Frogs have now notched back-to-back berths in the Big Dance for the first time since 2007.
The 2024-25 TCU women's basketball team advanced to the Elite Eight and became the first men's or women's team in school history to reach the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. TCU competed in March Madness annually from 2001-07 and made an additional appearance in 2009. The Horned Frogs hold an 8-10 all-time NCAA Tournament record.
TCU (29-5, 15-3 Big 12) is projected to earn a No. 3 seed in the latest bracket projections by ESPN.com and NCAA March Madness. Depending on its seed line and regional assignment, the Horned Frogs can play as many as four games in their home city. Fort Worth is one of two regional sites for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight alongside Sacramento, California. The Fort Worth Regional is hosted by the Big 12 Conference at Dickies Arena.
The Horned Frogs have tallied the fifth-most wins of any team in college basketball ahead of the NCAA Tournament. TCU also became the lone team at the Power Conference level to repeat as an undisputed regular season league champion after winning a second straight outright Big 12 title. The Frogs will join projected No. 1 seeds UConn, UCLA, Texas and South Carolina as one of only five teams in the country to post back-to-back 30-win seasons should they triumph in their first round matchup.
TCU has won an NCAA-leading 42 consecutive home games. The Horned Frogs are undefeated at 10-0 in all postseason contests held inside Schollmaier Arena.
All-session and single-session tickets for first and second round games at Schollmaier Arena will go on sale on Sunday following the NCAA selection show. Tickets can be purchased online on GoFrogs.com or by calling the TCU Ticket Office at (817) 257-3764.
