TCU sweeps MOP honors in the win
BROOKINGS, S.D. – In a meet that began Friday and concluded on Saturday morning, the seventh-ranked TCU equestrian team used a strong Horsemanship performance to defeat Delaware State, 9-5, at DeHaan Equestrian Center.
The meet featured four riders per team in each event, one fewer than the typical five. This format is common for regular season neutral-site meets.
TCU (6-3) competed in Flat and Reining on Friday afternoon, tying Flat 2-2 before winning Reining 2-1. On Saturday morning, the Frogs kept Delaware State (2-3) from earning a point in Horsemanship, allowing them to build crucial separation.
Earning MOP accolades for TCU were Lily Muzzy (Fences), Victoria Zahorik (Flat), Calla Thomas (Horsemanship) and Kaylene Cunningham (Reining).
