No. 7 TCU opens season with Jackrabbits on Friday

FORT WORTH – For the first time this season, seventh-ranked TCU Equestrian will take center stage at KSM Bear Creek Farms for a matchup with South Dakota State on Friday morning.

The meet is slated to begin at 10 a.m., with Fences and Horsemanship going first.

SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS

This will mark SDSU's second meet in Texas, facing Baylor on Thursday in Waco. The Jackrabbits return several key contributors from last years squad, and are coming off a 6-8 season. All-time, TCU leads the series 12-4 with an 8-0 mark at home. Last season, the Horned Frogs took down SDSU in the lone meeting between the two squads in Brookings.

RETURNING ALL-AMERICANS

The Horned Frogs returns all four NCEA All-Americans from last year's squad, including three who earned the honor as freshmen in 2025-26. Lilly Goldstein earned the award in both Fences and Flat, while Lily Muzzy (Fences), Cassie Hacking (Reining) and Piper Keller (Horsemanship) also picked up recognition as Freshmen. TCU was the only school to have three freshmen earn the accolade last season.

CONSISTENT SUCCESS

TCU Equestrian is currently amidst its winningest era, posting five straight winning seasons for the first time in program history. In addition, the Frogs have qualified for the postseason in every year of the teams existence and has been a mainstay in the NCEA rankings.
