TCU Picked As Preseason Favorites To Win Big 12

Five Frogs earn preseason accolades
FORT WORTH – The TCU baseball team was picked to win the Big 12, earning the maximum of 13 first-place votes from league coaches. Additionally, five Horned Frogs were honored by league coaches.
The Frogs have been voted to finish fourth or higher every year since joining the league. It's the sixth time TCU has been picked to win the league.
Sawyer Strosnider was voted the preseason Big 12 Player of the Year, while Tommy LaPour was tabbed the preseason Pitcher of the Year. Infielder Lucas Franco was selected as the preseason Freshman of the Year.
Both Strosnider and LaPour were unanimous picks to the preseason All-Big 12 Team. Joining them on the squad was Noah Franco and Chase Brunson.
TCU is gearing up for its season-opener set for Feb. 13 against Vanderbilt at Globe Life Field in Arlington. First pitch for the 2026 season is set for 3 p.m.
