Three Horned Frogs set for final NCAA Championships qualifier
FORT WOTH – TCU is set to make its final push for NCAA Championships qualification in its penultimate fall tournament.
Three Horned Frogs are set to play singles at the ITA Central Sectional Championships, which run from Thursday-Sunday at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
ITA Sectionals are the last chance for players to punch their tickets to the NCAA Individual Championships. Six singles berths are up for grabs on the Brazos. All four semifinalists automatically qualify as do the winners of two quarterfinal consolation matches. The ITA Central section encompasses the Central, Midwest and Texas regions.
Maximus Dussault, Albert Pedrico and Cooper Woestendick are making the 90-minute drive south.
Woestendick earned the No. 1 seed in the 32-man draw. The preseason ITA No. 21 singles player, Woestendick has competed to a 9-3 overall record and 4-2 mark vs. ranked players this fall. He won three matches at the ITA All-American Championships to secure the top spot in the bracket.
Pedrico also automatically qualified on the strength of his performance at the ITA Texas Regional on Oct. 9-12. The fellow junior enjoyed a quarterfinal run, narrowly missing out on an NCAA Championships berth. He has been TCU's best performer in singles in the Frogs' last pair of events. Pedrico reached the last eight at the Battle in the Bay Classic prior to Regionals. He is 6-2 in the discipline since the calendar shifted to October.
Dussault is making his team-leading fifth appearance of the fall. The lefty has played singles in every ITA-sanctioned event TCU has traveled players to. Dussault began his sophomore season with a run to the finals at the Milwaukee Tennis classic.
Pedrico and Dussault were tabbed No. 93 and No. 111, respectively, in the first set of ITA rankings.
TCU has already qualified three players for the NCAA Individual Championships, held from Nov. 18-23 in Athens, Georgia.
Pedrico and Woestendick secured their trip east as a doubles pair after winning the ITA Texas Regional Championship.

- Under Roditi's direction, TCU has notched 12 consecutive year-end ITA top-10 team rankings, a streak unmatched by any D1 program. The Horned Frogs have cracked the top-five of the final rankings in six straight seasons, most recently garnering the No. 4 ranking at the conclusion of the 2026 dual season. TCU has additionally boasted a top-10 ITA team ranking in 73 consecutive polls dating back to March 10, 2020.
