No. 10 TCU takes on Buckeyes in Coretta Scott King Classic

FORT WORTH – Two years to the date after being forced to hold open tryouts, TCU will play a standalone game on FOX.

The Horned Frogs are set to battle Ohio State at 11 a.m. CT on Monday in Newark, New Jersey, in the Coretta Scott King Classic, a doubleheader basketball event that celebrates female empowerment in sports and the legacy of the King family.

TCU is among the winningest programs in the country over the last two years. The Horned Frogs have notched the fourth-most victories (52) of any team in college basketball since November of 2024. The only teams with more wins in that span are UConn (55), South Carolina (53) and Texas (53).

TCU is aiming to become the first team in league history to win two Big 12 titles within three seasons of finishing in last place.
TCU is one of eight teams featuring in the top-10 of the AP Top 25, USA Today Sports Coaches' Poll (No. 8) and NCAA NET rankings (No. 7). The Horned Frogs are the Big 12's highest-rated team in all three evaluations.
The Horned Frogs are likely to receive another AP Top 10 ranking come tipoff time on Monday. Should that materialize, it will be the program's 19th top 10 marker in the last two years. For perspective, TCU cracked the AP Top 15 just twice in its first 47 seasons of existence,
TCU's 10 ranked wins over the last two seasons top the Big 12 are tied with Duke and Notre Dame for the sixth most of any team nationwide.
The Horned Frogs are 4-2 on a neutral floor vs. ranked teams under Campbell.
TCU has led at halftime in nine of its last 13 bouts vs. AP Top 25 teams. The Frogs are 8-1 in that span when entering the break atop the scoreboard in ranked matchups.
TCU ranks sixth nationally in scoring defense over the last two seasons among teams who have played 10 games vs. ranked opponents, surrendering 64.2 points per game.

Olivia Miles (15 points, 14 rebounds) and Clara Silva (12 rebounds, 11 points) each finished with a double-double in the Horned Frogs' victory at No. 10 NC State on Nov. 16. It marked one of just eight instances thus far in 2025-26 in which two teammates posted a double-double vs. an AP Top 25 team in the same game.
Four members of the top-six of the Horned Frogs' rotation sport career winning percentages of .500-or-better against ranked teams; Hunter (.629), Taylor Bigby (.571), Miles (.558) and Silva (.500).
TCU ranks second and third, respectively, among all D1 programs in field goal percentage defense (.317) and scoring defense (52.5 ppg).
Through 19 games, the Frogs are one of only four teams in college basketball alongside No. 1 UConn, No. 2 South Carolina and No. 4 Texas and scoring at least 80 points per game while allowing less than 55.
TCU is one of three teams shooting it better than 49 percent from the field while holding opponents below a 33 percent clip. The others are South Carolina and No. 6 LSU.

TCU has received a 20-point performance by Miles, Suarez or Hunter in 11 games.
Miles, Suarez and Silva have all scored in double figures in eight of TCU's last nine games and nine times overall. One of the three has finished as the Frogs' leading scorer in nine consecutive outings.
Miles and Suarez are the highest-scoring duo in the Big 12 at 35.6 points per game.
TCU is the only team in the country with five players who have knocked down at least 25 threes this season; Suarez (42), Hunter (37), Miles (33), Scherr (27) and Bigby (26).
The five players are responsible for 91 percent of TCU's total 3-point offense (166-182). The quintet is averaging 8.8 threes per game.
TCU ranks second only to Richmond in total 3-pointers over the last three seasons with 848. The Horned Frogs are on pace to become only the eighth program in NCAA history to knock down 1,000 threes in a three-season span.
The Frogs and Spiders are the only programs ranking in the top-10 nationally in 3-point field goals (2nd, 848), 3-point field goals per game (6th, 9.4) and 3-point percentage (7th, .370) since 2023-24.
TCU is one of four teams nationally ranking in the top-10 in field goal percentage (10th, .487) and field goal percentage defense. The others are UConn, South Carolina and LSU.
TCU has outscored its opponent in the paint in every game this season. The Frogs have finished with the edge in points in the paint and 3-pointers all-but-twice.

Olivia Miles

Has averaged 13.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game across 34 bouts vs. ranked teams for her career.
Ranks third among all D1 players in career five-assist games vs. ranked teams (20). She trails only Rori Harmon (29) and Kiki Rice (21) for the national lead.
Has posted a '15-5-5' game on eight occasions vs. the AP Top 25

Series Notes: Ohio State

In addition to Monday's matchup being the first ever between the Horned Frogs and Buckeyes, it marks just the 10th time TCU will battle a Big Ten team. TCU last faced a team from the NCAA's oldest intercollegiate athletics conference on Nov. 25, 2023, when it defeated Nebraska 88-81 to win the St. Pete Showcase.
Monday's game is also TCU's first vs. a ranked team from the Big Ten.
TCU sports a 5-4 all-time record vs. the Big Ten and owns victories over Indiana, Michigan State (2) and Penn State in addition to the Cornhuskers.
Though home to 10 players who began their career at different institutions, only Taylor Bigby has faced the Buckeyes previously among TCU players. Bigby scored eight points across 17 minutes as a third-year sophomore at USC vs. Ohio State on Nov. 6, 2023. The game was a part of the Naismith Hall of Fame Series and took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bigby's efforts helped lead the Trojans to an 83-74 win.
Head coaches Mark Campbell and Kevin McGuff overlapped in the Pac-12 for two seasons from 2011-13. Campbell was an assistant coach at Oregon State at the time after transitioning to the women's game in 2010 following a two-year appointment with the St. Mary's men's program. McGuff served as the head coach at Washington in 2011-12 and 2012-13 before moving on to Columbus.
Kennedy Basham and Ohio State guard Chance Gray were teammates at Oregon for two seasons from 2022-24. Both players were recruited to Eugene by Campbell during the tail end of his tenure as associate head coach at Oregon.
