Senior brings in yet another postseason award
FORT WORTH – Seven Castain of the TCU women's soccer team was named a CSC Academic First Team All-American, the organization announced Wednesday.
Castain was selected to the first team along with 10 other individuals nationally. The senior is one of three players from the Big 12 to be on the first team and is one of two individuals on the first team and one of 14 on any team to obtain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
This is Castain's first Academic All-American honor of her distinguished career. She previously was named the Big 12 Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2025 and has earned multiple placements on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team and CSC Academic All-District Team squad.
Earlier this week, Castain was also named a Honda Sport Award finalist, an award which symbolizes "the best of the best in collegiate athletics."
A forward from Draper, Utah, Castain earned 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-America first-team honors last week and was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist after tying the program's single-season goals record with 17. She posted 38 points, second-most in school history, and tallied six multi-goal games, including two hat tricks.
In the postseason, Castain scored five goals in two matches en route to TCU's NCAA run to the College Cup. The forward also collected NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete accolades during the NCAA Tournament to add onto her impressive resume both this year and for her career.
