LUBBOCK, Texas - No. 23 TCU fell to No. 7 Texas Tech, 1-0, on Sunday at the John Walker Soccer Complex. The Red Raiders struck for the game-winner in the 72nd minute. The loss snapped TCU's seven match unbeaten streak.
The Rundown
TCU controlled almost all of possession in the first half, outshooting the Red Raiders 3-2. All three of the Horned Frogs' shots were on goal in the first half. The Frogs applied pressure early and often. One of the better chances the Frogs came in the fourth minute when Olivia Hasler put a shot on frame that was saved by the Red Raider goalkeeper.
Lauren Kellett stopped the only chance the Red Raiders had in the opening half when a Red Raider forward took a shot from about 25 yards out right into Kellett's hands.
In the second half, the Frogs still controlled much of possession and were aggressive on offense. In the 70th minute, the Frogs had their best chance of the second half as Bella Diorio changed speed and caught her defender off guard, beating her down the line. Diorio crossed the ball into the box and found Gracie Brian, but her header missed just high.
The Red Raiders intercepted a Frog pass in the 72nd minute and took advantage of the open look and put the ball in the back of the net for the eventual game-winner.
Stat of the Game

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
Overall thoughts on the game
"I thought it was a good first half and the second half wasn't as good as we thought it was going to be. We have to do a better job of finding the information that's given to us and figure out a way to win games. We didn't do that today. Credit Texas Tech for getting the job done, but we've got a lot more season left to play and we are looking forward to playing it."
