FORT WORTH – TCU women's tennis (10-11) came up short, falling, 4-1 to No. 11 Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs dropped a close doubles point before losing three of four completed singles matches. Stevie Kennedy delivered the lone point for the Frogs, winning her match at No. 6 singles in straight sets.

The all-Spanish duo of Mercedes Aristegui and Isabel Pascual won their third-straight doubles match together at No. 2, coming back from down, 1-3, to take the match, 6-4. They improve to 3-2 in Big 12 play together. Their victory came while the other two doubles matches were each on serve, 4-4 and 5-4. Unfortunately, Oklahoma State wouldn't lose a game on either court from that moment on and stole the doubles point away to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

In singles play, TCU fought hard, taking two opening sets after OSU won a very close tiebreaker set on court two. The doubles point came back to bite TCU as the Cowgirls clinched the match with three straight-set wins, bringing the dual to a close while Pascual was on serve in her second set, after winning her first, and Aristegui was battling on serve after losing her tiebreaker moments before.

Kennedy delivered a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles for her second win of conference play. She has won two of her last three results and five of her last seven singles sets.
