TCU Women's Tennis begins Big 12 Play at No. 33 Baylor
FORT WORTH -- TCU women's tennis (8-5) begins Big 12 Conference play this week with a road match at No. 33 Baylor (9-4). First serve is set for tomorrow at noon at the Hurd Tennis Center, in Waco.

FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs have been bolstered by three Horned Frogs, all of whom did not play last season. Alisa Soloveva and Aleksa Cveticanin were both on the team last season but missed the spring with injuries, while Jade Otway joined TCU this season as a freshman. Those three Frogs have combined for 19 of TCU's 32 singles victories this season, led by seven from Otway.
Soloveva has won her last three singles matches at the top of the lineup, including a straight set victory over Khatamova from No. 29 UCSB in her last match. She is 6-2 in singles matches this season and 11-4 overall this season, playing doubles with Otway most recently.
Cveticanin and Otway are tied for the team lead in overall victories, along with sophomore Isabel Pascual. All three Frogs have delivered 12 match victories: Otway (7-4 singles / 5-3 doubles), Cveticanin (6-4 singles / 6-5 doubles) and Pascual (5-1 singles, 7-3 doubles).
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
The Baylor Bears enter the dual as the No. 33-ranked program in the country. BU is 9-4, on a three-match winning streak headed into the match. This will be the 42nd all-time meeting between the two schools, BU leads the series 22-19 after winning all three meetings in the 2021 season.
