
TCU Takes Care of Business Against Stephen F. Austin

Horned Frogs Sweep SFA, 4-0
FORT WORTH -- TCU women's tennis (7-3) dominated play from start to finish, sweeping Stephen F. Austin, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon inside the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs won all 10 completed sets in the dual, winning the doubles point at No. 1 and No. 3, before collecting three straight-set victories, in singles, to clinch their seventh win of the season.
TCU improves to 7-0 at home this season, winning six of those matches via 4-0 sweeps. The Horned Frogs are 21-2 in singles matches on the purple courts and 14-3 in doubles, winning 87.5 percent (35/40) of the overall completed matches, at home.
Aleksa Cveticanin, Alisa Soloveva and Jade Otway each went 2-0 today. Cveticanin and Otway lead the team with nine total wins at home, posting 9-1 and 9-2 records in both disciplines, respectively.
Cveticanin won her singles match: 6-0, 6-0, her first collegiate double bagel. It was the most dominant win of her career, her first 6-0 sets of the 2022 season and her seventh and eighth 6-0 sets as a Horned Frog.
Otway continues to impress in her freshman season. The New Zealander is now 5-0 in home singles matches and 6-2 overall. She has won all 12 of her completed sets on the purple courts this season. Today's 6-1, 6-1 victory is the most lopsided score of her career. She is outscoring her opponents 80-32 in home singles matches.
Soloveva racked up her fourth singles win of the season: 6-1, 6-3. She made her first start of the year at No. 2 singles after starting the last six matches at No. 1. Soloveva clinched the dual today with her victory, which was also the most dominant win of her career, as a Horned Frog.
