Lampkin records double-double in Baugh's return
FORT WORTH – Led by Eddie Lampkin's double-double, the TCU men's basketball team won its fourth-straight game in a 75-62 win over Providence in the Big 12/Big EAST Battle Wednesday night at Schollmaier Arena.
Lampkin had season highs in points with 16 and rebounds with 12. He led six Horned Frogs (6-1) in double-digits as Micah Peavy scored 13 points, Chuck O'Bannon Jr. and Mike Miles Jr. both finished with 12 points and Emanuel Miller and Damion Baugh had 10.
After missing the first six games of the season, Baugh returned to the court Wednesday night, marking the first time this season the top six scorers from last season's team were available for TCU. Baugh opened up the game with a steal and assist to give TCU their first points that turned into an 11-2 run to start the night. He finished with a game-high five assists.
Lampkin came alive in the first half, scoring 12 points and grabbing a season-high six offensive boards, for a total of seven in the first half.
A 3-pointer from O'Bannon with a second remaining in the first half gave the Frogs a 38-33 lead going into the break.
TCU's defense continued to hold Providence to just two points in the opening six minutes of the second half and completed a 12-2 run overall to lead by 17 points, its largest of the game, with 14:22 play.
TCU forced Providence into 18 turnovers and the Friars' lowest scoring output of the season.
TCU is back in action Tuesday night against Jackson State at 7 p.m. in Schollmaier Arena. The game will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

- TCU shot 50 percent from 3-point range for the second time this season. The Frogs were 6-of-12.
Individual Notes
- Eddie Lampkin Jr. recorded his fifth double-double of his career, with 16 points and 12 rebounds. It was the third time in his career leading the team in points and the first this season.
- Damion Baugh started the game in his season debut with 10 points and five assists.
- Mike Miles Jr. scored in double-figures for the 10th-straight game with 12 points.
- Miles drew two charges. It was his fifth drawn charge in the last three games. Miles had just one all of last season.
- Micah Peavy scored 13 points, his fifth double-digit game this season.
- Emanuel Miller tied a season-high two three-pointers, shooting 2-for-3. He finished the game with 10 points, being his fourth game this season with double-digits.
- Chuck O'Bannon Jr. extended his streak to nine straight games with a 3-pointer dating back to last season against Arizona on March 20.
