Women’s Tennis welcomes UNT for a midweek dual
FORT WORTH -- TCU Women's Tennis (2-0) returns to the purple courts for a midweek dual against North Texas (0-1) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. It will be the first dual for the Horned Frogs in 11 days, after TCU defeated Abilene Christian and Tarleton in a doubleheader on Jan. 16.

TCU leads the all-time series with UNT, 21-2, including an active five-match winning streak dating back to 2014. The Horned Frogs are familiar with this year's Mean Green team after hosting them at the TCU Invite earlier this month. TCU won three of four matches against UNT throughout the tournament, two doubles win and a singles win from Stevie Kennedy.
The Horned Frogs have started the 2021 dual season with strong results. TCU is a perfect 7-0 in singles play and 4-2 in doubles competition. Three Horned Frogs are undefeated in singles to start 2021, including the TCU Invite tournament. Marie Norris and Addy Guevara lead all Horned Frogs with a 5-0 singles record, Stevie Kennedy also stands at 3-0, including a 2-0 record in duals.
Norris has been especially dominant in her singles matches this year. The senior, ranked No. 68 in the country, has won all five of her completed singles matches by a combined score of 60-14, winning a stunning 81.1 percent of her games.
North Texas enters the match with an 0-1 dual record after opening the season with a 7-0 loss to No. 3 Texas last Sunday (Jan. 17). UNT posted a 7-7 record last season, including an 0-2 mark against Power 5 opponents.
