FORT WORTH – TCU's Messiah Bright continues to add awards to her collection following a successful freshman campaign. Her latest accolade saw her named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Freshmen Best XI's second team.
Bright made history as the first Horned Frog to win a share of Freshman of the Year in any conference. The forward tied for first on the team in goals (six) and tied for second on the team lead in points (13). Three of her goals were game-winners.
She was named 2nd-team All-Big 12 in addition to earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman squad. She also earned second-team United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region.
