COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU swimming and diving took on highly ranked Texas A&M and Rice's women's team on Saturday in double-dual meet action. TCU's men fell to the No. 11 Aggies 172-109, while the women fell to both the No. 3 Aggies 205-87 and the Owls 197-93.
HIGHLIGHTS
Freshman Noah Cumby was a bright spot for the Horned Frogs on Saturday. The freshman sprinter produced TCU's lone win on the day, winning the 100 free in 46.15. Cumby also finished second in the 50 free with a mark of 21.28.
Fellow freshman Kade Knoch also had a strong showing for TCU, finishing second in both the 200 fly (1:52.72) and 200 back (1:50.15). Knoch finished third in the 100 fly (51.70), one spot behind senior John Smith (50.69).
Sophomore Ian Bennett finished second in both breaststroke events, finishing the 100 breast in 58.77 and 200 breast in 2:06.93).
On the women's side, Claire Munster finished second in the 50 free (24.07) to Rice's Becca Evans but finished ahead of Texas A&M's Jing Quah for the head-to-head win. Munster added a third-place finish overall in the 100 free (52.62), following one Aggie and one Owl for a pair of second-place scores head-to-head.
On the boards, Isabella Ashdown improved her season-best score in the three-meter, scoring 312.37 for a third-place finish. Ashdown recorded her second-best one-meter score of the season, scoring 297.00. Her season-best came against Trinity when she scored 305.90. Ashdown has already recorded NCAA Zone Cuts in both events.

The Horned Frogs return to action Saturday, Dec. 8, to take on Ouachita Baptist and North Texas. The meet will be TCU's final home meet of the 2018-2019 season and the team will celebrate its seniors prior to the meet.
