Three Straight! TCU Earns NCAA Tournament Bid

TCU to host first round for second time
FORT WORTH –The TCU women's soccer team has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season. For the second time in the last three seasons, the Horned Frogs will serve as a first round host. TCU will face BYU Friday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Horned Frogs are 12-4-3 on the season and finished tied for third in the Big 12 with a record of 5-3-1. For the first time since joining the Big 12 in 2012, the Horned Frogs tallied three road conference victories. Additionally, the Frogs posted a 7-1-2 home record. TCU established a school record with 10 shutouts this season.
Tickets for Friday's game are available by calling 817-257-FROG (3764) or visiting gofrogs.com. Individual ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 3-17). All students with a valid college ID will get into the match free.
The winner of Friday's match will advance to the second round at a site to be determined and will face either Texas A&M or North Texas. The second round is slated to begin Friday, Nov. 16.
The Big 12 earned six bids to the tournament. Baylor and West Virginia earned No. 2 seeds and Texas is a No. 3 seed. Kansas and Texas Tech were also selected to the field of 64.
