FORT WORTH – TCU soccer's Lauren Sajewich has been tabbed the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in helping the Horned Frogs to a pair of shutout victories this past weekend.

Sajewich, a junior defender, was the only TCU athlete to play every minute of both matches as the Frogs allowed just nine shots on the weekend, including only three on goal. In the win over SMU, the TCU defense didn't allow a single shot on goal while the Mustangs earned just one corner kick. Against UTSA, the Frogs allowed just five shots, three on goal and surrendered just one corner kick.
The honor is the first for Sajewich and the second for TCU this season. Faith Carter was named the Freshman of the Week on Sept. 8.
