FORT WORTH - The TCU women's soccer team will look to stretch its unbeaten streak to eight games Sunday when it hosts No. 18 Kansas at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on FSSW+.
ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS
TCU is riding a 6-0-1 stretch in which it has allowed just two goals. Friday night West Virginia halted the Frogs' winning streak, but an eight-save performance in goal from Vittoria Arnold helped TCU earn a 0-0 tie. The shutout for Arnold was her 18th career clean sheet, tying her for the school record held by Maribeth Forest who played from 1987-90.
During this stretch of matches, the Frogs have gotten big performances from a pair of freshmen, Kela Gray and Emma Heckendorn. Gray has four goals, two of which were gamewinners, while Heckendorn has four goals and two assists.
ABOUT THE JAYHAWKS
It's been a turnaround season for Kansas. After qualifing as the eighth seed in the Big 12 tournament a year ago, the Jayhawks opened the season with eight straight victories. After suffering a 1-0 loss at Marquette, Kansas has responded with two wins to improve to 10-1 overall.
Kansas is coming off a 1-0 win over Baylor Friday night. Liana Salazar's team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 19th minute stood up as the game-winner. In goal, Kaitlyn Stroud made seven saves to register her sixth shutout of the season.
