Frogs Suffer Setback At Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - David Godbold scored 13 of his game-high 15 points in the second half to lead Oklahoma to a 63-35 win over TCU on Saturday afternoon.
Godbold hit three 3-point baskets and added a team-high seven rebounds and three steals as the Sooners held TCU to just 12 points in the second half.
The point total tied for the 10th-lowest in TCU basketball history and was the Horned Frogs' lowest since scoring 35 points in a December 1983 game against East Texas State.
It's the second time this season Oklahoma (4-2) has held an opponent to 36 points or fewer. The Sooners earlier beat Norfolk State 99-36.
Oklahoma extended its winning streak in nonconference home games to 49, the longest such run in NCAA Division I.
Against TCU, Oklahoma had led by as many as 13 points in the first half and carried a 32-23 lead into intermission. But a six-minute scoring drought by the Sooners allowed TCU (4-3) to pull within 32-27 during the first two minutes of the second half.
Godbold then hit back-to-back 3-pointers as part of an 8-0 Oklahoma run that extended the lead back to 13 points with 12:38 left. TCU came no closer than 11 points after that.
Godbold, a 6-5 junior, had another flurry late in the game to seal the win, hitting consecutive baskets as part of a 13-0 run that pushed the lead to 30 points.
TCU contributed to its downfall by committing 21 turnovers, compared to 10 for the Sooners. The Horned Frogs hit only 2 of 13 3-point attempts, while Oklahoma converted 6 of 12.
Four other Oklahoma players scored in double figures. Austin Johnson and Michael Neal each had 11 points and Nate Carter and Longar Longar added 10 points apiece.
Alvardo Parker came off the bench to lead TCU with 11 points, while Kevin Langford added 10.
