Brown and Morgado Advance To Semifinals In Tempe

Tempe, Ariz. - Senior Paige Brown and freshman Andrea Morgado won their quarterfinal doubles match on Saturday at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational to move on to Sunday's semifinal. The pair outlasted Arizona State's Sabrina Capannolo and Kady Pooler 9-8 (6) to improve their record to 9-3 this fall.
Brown and Morgado will meet up with the No. 1 seed in Joslynn Burkett and Wendy Pilecka of Arizona State. Burkett and Pilecka bounced TCU's Gloriann Lopez and Kewa Nichols in their quarterfinal match 8-3.
On Sunday, the main/consolation doubles semifinals will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by all singles in both the main and consolation draws at 10:30 a.m. The doubles finals will then close out the tournament after singles play.
