Steven Schoon is in his eighth season in the athletics communications department at TCU.

In May 2022, Schoon assumed the position of associate athletics director of communications and creative content. Along with oversight of both the communications and creative content departments, Schoon serves as the primary communications contact for men’s basketball and men’s golf.

Schoon arrived at TCU in January of 2017 after previous stops at USF (2013-16), Marshall (2011-13), Louisiana Tech (2009-11) and FIU (2008-09).

A native of Winfield, Kan., Schoon graduated from the University of Kansas in 2008 with a degree in sports and fitness management. Prior to KU, he ran cross country and track and field at Cowley College.
