Colton Lovelace

Colton Lovelace joined the TCU baseball staff in September of 2023. He will serve as the program’s Director of Player Personnel.
Lovelace joins the staff after spending the last three seasons at Oklahoma State. He first joined the Cowboy staff as a graduate assistant in January of 2021. His primary responsibilities focused on analytics utilizing BATS!, Rapsodo, Edgertronic and HitTrax. Additionally, he was a key component in creating advanced scouting reports on upcoming opponents.
He was promoted to Director of Video and Analytics in July 2022. In addition to his analytics duties, Lovelace served as a liaison to all 30 Major League Baseball teams.
Prior to his time at Oklahoma State, Lovelace served as a Development Intern with USA Baseball. While with USA Baseball, he worked in advanced analytics utilizing the Synergy, Trackman, Rapsodo, Diamond Kinetics and Edgertronic technologies.
Lovelace, a 2020 graduate of Kansas with a degree in Sport Management, was a student manager within the Kansas baseball program. He got his start in analytics while working with the Jayhawk program in addition to his practice preparation duties.
He earned a Certificate of Completion for the Udemy Course “Baseball Database Queries” and has more than five years of experience with various baseball analytics programs.
