TCU takes fifth place; three Horned Frogs finish under par
NORMAN, Okla. – Kirstin Angosta further established herself as one of college golf's elite talents in central Oklahoma.
The TCU senior tied for sixth in her final start at the Schooner Fall Classic on Monday, signing for a six-under 204 at Belmar Golf Club.
Angosta played even-par golf in round three. She notched her fourth consecutive top-10 dating back to the Big 12 Championship in April. Angosta, a graduate of nearby Coppell High School, placed as TCU's top performer for the ninth time in her career. She scored par or better in all three rounds.
As a team, TCU settled for fifth place. The Horned Frogs shot five-over in round three, bringing their 54-hole total to eight-under 832. TCU began the final round tied for second. The Frogs assumed a two-shot lead entering the second 18 after posting a 10-under 270 in Saturday's opening round.
The Horned Frogs, who checked in at No. 27 in the inaugural Golfweek preseason rankings, beat five Big 12 teams, including No. 10 Oklahoma State, No. 29 UCF and Baylor.
No. 17 Iowa State finished a tournament record 30-under (810) en route to a 17-shot victory.
The Cyclones' Alexandra Vidal Rivera claimed individual medalist honors at 10 strokes under par.
Three of TCU's six participating players concluded their stay on the plains in the red.
Camille Min-Gaultier fired a four-under 206 to tie for 14th. Ella Forss tied for 25th at one stroke under par.
Min-Gaultier has now recorded a top-20 finish in 19 of her 26 career starts.
Forss, a freshman from Sweden, was TCU's No. 3 performer for the second time in as many starts to begin the 2026-27 campaign.
Angosta was the only Horned Frog to par the course in round three.
After racking up 23 birdies in round one, TCU managed 10 overall and only two on the back nine on Monday. TCU, which teed off on holes one through three, picked up six strokes on the final three greens. No Frog closed birdie following the 14th hole.

Following a week off, TCU will play three tournaments in as many weeks to commence the autumn season, beginning with The Ally on Oct. 5-7 at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.
