TCU heads to Mississippi for midpoint of fall season
FORT WORTH – TCU women's golf is embarking on its busiest stretch of the 2026-27 season.
The Horned Frogs will play three tournaments in as many weeks, beginning with The Ally at historic Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. The three-day, stroke play affair runs from Monday-Wednesday and is hosted by Mississippi State.
The Ally, formerly known as the Magnolia Invitational, was renamed in 2020 in honor of Ally Ewing, who is married to Bulldogs head coach Charlie Ewing and enjoyed a nine-year career on the LPGA Tour.
The field consists of 17 teams. Including TCU, six teams are ranked inside the Golfweek top-30. Joining the 27th-ranked Horned Frogs at Old Waverly, the site of the 1999 U.S Women's Open, are No. 7 Florida, No. 9 Vanderbilt, No. 10 Oklahoma State, No. 22 Mississippi State and No. 24 Ole Miss.
Leading the lineup for TCU are Kirstin Angosta, Camille Min-Gaultier and Ella Forss. The trio all finished under par in the Horned Frogs' most recent outing, the Schooner Fall Classic, on Sept. 19-21 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Angosta is teeing off in the top spot for the fifth time in her career. She has notched four consecutive top-10's dating back to the Big 12 Championship in March. Angosta tied for sixth place at six-under 204 in Norman.
Min-Gaultier is TCU's active career leader in scoring average (72.0), top-10's (11), top-20's (19), sub-70's (18) and countable rounds (71). The sophomore has been TCU's top performer in 12 of her 26 career starts.
Forss, a freshman from Sweden, has scored par or better in three-of-six rounds thus far. She tied for seventh at the Japan-based Pan Pacific University Golf Super League tournament in TCU's season-opener and placed T24 at the Schooner Fall Classic.
Rounding out the TCU contingent are Gracie McGovern and Sofie Dimitrova. McGovern has posted a 71.3 combined scoring average in fall invitationals over the last two seasons. Dimitrova made her season debut at the Schooner Fall Classic. She shot an even-par 70 in round one.
TCU has finished fifth-or-better in both of its tournaments to begin the year. The Horned Frogs came in fifth at eight strokes under par at the Schooner Fall Classic after notching a runner-up finish in Japan.

There may not be a more accomplished coaching staff in college women's golf than TCU's trio of Ravaioli-Larkin, Greg Robertson and Angela Stanford. In September, TCU announced the addition of Stanford, the 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup captain, as an assistant coach. Stanford, the most accomplished player in program history, teed it up in an LPGA Tour record 98 consecutive majors from 2002-04. During the offseason, Ravaioli-Larkin brought in Robertson as the program's associate head coach. Robertson, a 13-time conference champion coach, remains one of only three head coaches in college women's golf history to reach match play in multiple seasons with two different schools.
-
TCU returned five letter winners from the 2025-26 campaign, a group headlined by two-time All-Big 12 first team honoree Camille Min-Gaultier and fellow upperclassmen Kirstin Angosta, who tied for eighth at the 2026 NCAA National Championship.

-
The Horned Frogs have either qualified as a team or sent individuals to the NCAA Tournament in 24 consecutive seasons dating back to 2002.
-
TCU was the fourth highest-rated Big 12 team in the Golfweek preseason rankings, behind only No. 10 Oklahoma State, No. 17 Iowa State and No. 18 Arizona State, and one of six conference affiliates featured.
-
Going back in time, TCU won the 1983 NCAA D1 Women's Golf Championship. The tournament was held at the University of Georgia Golf Course and was the second NCAA-sanctioned event to determine a national champion.
-
The 1983 squad was the first TCU women's sports team to win an NCAA Championship. The triumph is one of eight NCAA team championships in TCU Athletics history and one of five women's titles. Forever commemorating the achievement, the title-winning team was inducted into the TCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023 to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of its championship.
