Horned Frogs primed for top-25 showdown

MADISON, Wis. – The TCU women's soccer program. will open the season on the road for the first time since the 2021 season, as the Frogs are set to take on the No. 22 Wisconsin Badgers on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at the McClimon Soccer Complex.

FROG FACTS

These two programs last faced off in 2022, with both teams fighting to a 0-0 tie. Overall, TCU is 0-2-1 against Wisconsin and will play its second-ever match in Madison.
The Frogs were picked to finish first in the Big 12 by the league's coaches, securing 13 total first-place votes.
Morgan Brown (#7) and Kamdyn Fuller (#21) were two TCU players who were listed inside TopDrawerSoccer's Top-100 Players preseason list.
Four individuals earned preseason recognitions from United Soccer Coaches as Bella Diorio (Forward), Kamdyn Fuller (Midfielder) as well as Cameron Patton and Morgan Brown (Defender) were tabbed positional players to watch.
Along with being picked to finish first in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, TCU's Emma Yolinsky, Bella Diorio, Olivia Geller and Kamdyn Fuller were selected as Preseason All-Big 12 members
TCU boasts six talented transfers in this year's recruiting class: Amelie Darey (Butler), Peyton Nourse (Florida State), Zoe Cuneio (Purdue), Gianna Owens (California), Eres Freifeld (North Carolina) and Cameron Byrd (Texas).
A total of nine freshman are on the roster: Betsi Salihi, Madison Taylor, Mackenzie Hilderman, Makenzie Majors, Giovanna Costanzo, Camille Banks, Emery Jean, Camden Cosich and Eliza Collings.
Two of the most dominant and important players across the country, Seven Castain and Morgan Brown were named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans at the conclusion of last season.
Last season in the win over No. 9 Iowa, Eric Bell became the winningest head coach in school history, recording his 152nd win at the helm.
TCU holds the best record against Texas schools out of Power Four programs, boasting a ledger of 25-4-7 since fall of 2021.
With last year's postseason success Frogs have advanced their streak of making the NCAA Tournament to nine of the last 10 seasons.
TCU's run of dominance in the Big 12 continued last season, as the Frogs won their fourth Big 12 Regular Season crown in the past six seasons.
