
Udovich has Lowest Round of Mountaineer Invitational

TCU is in sixth place after two rounds
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Sam Udovich tied for the lowest round of the opening two rounds of the Mountaineer Invitational on Monday at Pete Dye Golf Club.
Udovich made seven birdies and shot 6-under 66 in the second round. Included in the 66 was a stretch of 6-under over 11 holes. It was Udovich's ninth time posting a sub-70 score.
Udovich was only matched by Thomas Higgins of Clemson, who also shot 6-under 66 in the second round. Udovich shot 2-over 74 in the opening round for a score of 4-under 140 and a tie for fourth place.
Nathan Miller also had a better second round. The freshman shot 3-over 75 in the first round and 1-under 71 in the second. He is tied for 29th place at 2-over 146.
Jack Beauchamp 4-under 68 in the opening round, which included stretch of 4-under over holes 14 through 18.
Nearly all 104 competitors completed the 36 holes, but Saint Francis and some individuals failed to finish before nighttime set in. They'll conclude round two at 8:15 a.m. CT.
TCU is in sixth place at 2-over 578 and trailing Clemson (-8), West Virginia (-7), Arkansas (-6), Texas Tech (-5) and Oklahoma State (-3). The Horned Frogs will begin the final round starting at 7:50 a.m.
