Horned Frogs continue historic win streak
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The wins keep stacking for the TCU women's tennis team, as the squad earned its ninth straight victory with a 4-0 win over West Virginia on Friday afternoon at Mountaineer Tennis Courts.
With this result, TCU (9-1, 3-0 Big 12) has started off the season 9-1 through 10 matches. That marks the best start for the Frogs since the 2013 dual season when the Frogs started off 12-1.
On top of the nine-match win streak, TCU has secured eight sweeps throughout the process, doing so twice against Big 12 competition. The last time the Frogs were able to string together nine consecutive triumphs was the 2016 season, when TCU pulled off nine straight wins.
DOUBLES RUNDOWN
For the eighth time in the last nine matches, TCU was able to win the doubles point. Rolling with an all-too-familiar lineup, the Frogs were able to grab victories on the top two courts to take an early 1-0 lead into singles action.
