
TCU Women Punch Nine Tickets to NCAA Outdoor Championships on Final Day

Frogs earn a total of 17 team entries for Nationals
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU track and field's women dominated Day 4 of the NCAA West First Round on Saturday night, seeing nine tickets punched for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Amelliah Birdow, Amari Kiluvia, Iyana Gray, Indya Mayberry, London Tucker, Tia Williams and both of the Horned Frogs' relays secured their spots in Eugene on the track, giving the TCU women a total of 11 entries with Maria Bienvenu and Irene Jepkemboi's javelin berths on Thursday.
The Frogs' 4x100m opened the action on the track with a heat win to automatically advance to the national meet. Teanna Harlin, Gray, Tucker and Mayberry threw down a time of 43.13 to finish fifth overall.
Kiluvia booked the first individual ticket for TCU on the track. Racing the 100m hurdles, the sophomore qualified for her first NCAA Championship meet with a personal best time of 13.09 (+1.3 m/s) to finish eighth overall in the west region.
In the 100m dash, the Frogs punched three tickets to Eugene. Gray led the trio with an 11.14 (+0.2 m/s), followed by Mayberry with an 11.15 (+0.0 m/s). Earning the final qualifying spot, Tucker raced in one of the fastest heats and held her own with an 11.17 (-0.1 m/s).
Birdow and Williams came in to the 400m hurdles quarterfinals with the second and third fastest times, respectively, and delivered. The sophomore duo punched their tickets to represent the Frogs on the national stage for the first time in their careers. Birdow broke her own school record in the process, finishing first in her heat and third overall in 55.96. Williams crossed the line third in her heat and finished eighth overall with a time of 56.74.
The indoor 200m National Champion, Mayberry booked her ticket to defend her title at the championship meet. The freshman secured her third entry for Nationals with a personal best and program record time of 22.30 (+0.9 m/s). Her time ranked as the third fastest in the west region.
In the final event of the night, the women's 4x400m relay of Williams, Birdow, Gray and Samarra Monrroy helped the Frogs grab the No. 10 qualifying time in 3:33.56 to punch the final ticket to Eugene.
For Georgia Scott, an impressive sophomore season came to a close in the 800m at the NCAA West Regional.
In total, the Frogs ended the NCAA West First Round with a total of 17 entries for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, which are set for June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.
