Frogs show fight in singles play, but Jayhawks surge late to secure the victory
WACO, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team fell to Kansas, 4-2 on Thursday afternoon at the Hurd Tennis Center.
THE RUNDOWN
The match started in doubles, where Kansas won on courts one and three to take the doubles point to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
Raquel Caballero tied the match up at 1-1 with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court two. Isabel Pascual earned her eighth win on the season to give the Frogs a 2-1 lead.
However, the Jayhawks came back firing. No. 116 Gracie Mulville defeated Jade Otway on court one to tie the match back up at 2-2. A tiebreak win in the second set on court three gave Kansas a 3-2 lead, and a three-set match went the Jayhawks way on court four to take the match.
