
TCU Concludes Three-Day Mizzou Invite

Horned Frogs earn plethora of program records and top-10 marks
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The TCU swimming and diving squad acquired 34 new top-10 times and set four new program-best marks during the course of competition at the Missouri Invite, hosted at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
The first two days saw a pair of program records set on each day, while each day saw a large amount of top-10 times from both individual and relay events.
DAY ONE RUNDOWN
On day one, a total of 20 top-10 times were set, highlighted by two program records from Peter Horton and Filip Suchanski.
Thursday's night action got started in the 200 free relay, where the women's squad finished fourth and the men's quartet of Horton, Nigel Forbes, Nick Rozenberg and Luka Cavic finished third with a time of 1:18.59. Horton's 50 free time of 19.31 was a new program-best time for the event.
Lior Mizrahi found himself slotted in fourth in the 100 fly finals dropping a 47.01. Suchanski threw down a program-record time of 3:44.44 to claim second in the 400 IM, while Avery Dillon earned the second-fastest mark in the 200 free with a 1:47.24. to come in second overall. The men's side of this earned another top-three finisher, as Cavic touched the wall in 1:35.42 for a second-place result.
Nikola Koltin finished just outside the top three for the 100 breast, finishing in 53.76. To close out the first day of competition, the women's 400 medley relay squad of Paige Taber, Nina Vadovicova, Aubrey Finn and Molly Cullen came in third with a 3:39.21. The men's side that consisted of Edgar Cicanci, Koltin, Mizrahi and Horton finished second with a time of 3:08.04.
DAY TWO RUNDOWN
The second day of events at the Mizzou Invite featured 15 new top-10 marks, including another pair of program records, this time from Vadovicova and Dillon.
The night session started off strong, as the men's squad of Cicanci, Colin Clough, Mizrahi and Horton went 1:25.19 to finish second in the 200 medley relay. Dillon did her usual thing, breaking yet another school record, this time in the 500 free (4:44.57) to come in second overall. TCU finished top-three on both sides of the event, with Braedon Ando placing third in 4:26.02.
Cicanci continued his strong week with a third-place finish in the 100 back, throwing down a 46.97. Vadovicova set the school record in the 200 breast shortly after, touching the wall in 2:08.60. Felipe Goncalves gave the Frogs another set of top-three finishes in the same discipline with a third-place finish (1:56.07).
Horton put on an impressive display once again in the 50 free, clocking a 19.43 to come in second. TCU finished third in the women's 800 free relay, then the men's side of Suchanski, Cavic, Hristov and Aaron Wilmes won the event with a blistering 6:24.34.
DAY THREE RUNDOWN
On the final day of the Mizzou Invite TCU set eight new top-10 times during competition.
Horton secured another top-three finish in a free event, this time finishing third in the 100 free with a time of 43.14. Taber came in third in the 200 back, touching the wall in 1:56.59.
The highlight performances of the day came from Suchanski and Cicanci when they finished first and second in the 200 back, earning efforts of 1:41.69 and 1:42.39.
