
Frogs in Second after Opening Round

Udovich shoots 6-under
MAUI, Hawaii – Following an opening round of 17-under on Monday, TCU's men's golf team is in second place at the Ka'anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER.
The score at Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course tied for the fifth-best by a TCU team vs. par since the 1993-94 season.
Leading the Horned Frogs was freshman Sam Udovich who shot a career-best 6-under 65. The Minnesota native made eight birdies, all in the first 13 holes.
Toby Wilt played a bogey-free round of 5-under 66. It was his best round of golf since shooting 6-under 65 in the second round of last season's Ka'anapali Classic. He's tied for seventh place.
Jack Beauchamp had his sixth round of par or better with a 5-under 66 and is tied for 10th place. He totaled four birdies and one eagle, coming on the par 5 No. 6 hole.
Besides a double bogey on the opening hole, Charlie Wylie played bogey-free golf and shot 2-under 69. He's tied for 34th place.
Competing as an individual, freshman Nathan Miller is tied for 24th place at 3-under 68.
Trailing No. 21 Oklahoma by four strokes, the second round will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.
