
Frogs Keep Pace in Round Two

Udovich shoots 7-under
MAUI, Hawaii – Sam Udovich shot 7-under 64 in the second round of the Ka'anapali Classic on Tuesday, a score only few Horned Frogs have turned in.
Udovich made seven birdies at Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course, including four on the front nine. The freshman became the 14th Horned Frog to shoot 7-under or better in a round since the 1993-94 season.
Udovich won the Minnesota State Championship this past spring for Cretin-Derham Hall High School and now has turned in rounds of 65 and 64 and is tied for second at 13-under 129. He trails only Ryder Cowen (-16) of Oklahoma.
Jack Beauchamp moved up three spots to a tie for seventh at 9-under 133 after shooting 5-under 66 on Tuesday. He finished with an eagle on first hole, a 519-yard par 5.
Toby Wilt is just outside the top 10 in a tie for 11th place at 8-under 134. He started 4-under through the first five holes and was 1-over for the remaining 13 holes.
Hudson Wilt put together his best round of the tournament of 3-under 68. He moved up 29 places to a tie for 56th place with Charlie Wylie at 2-under 140.
Wylie and Nathan Miller each shot even-par 71. Competing as an individual, Miller is tied for 49th place at 3-under 139.
As a team, TCU shot one better than Monday with a score of 18-under. At 35-under for the tournament, the Frogs trail just No. 21 Oklahoma (-47). The final round will begin Wednesday with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. CT.
