FORT WORTH – The TCU women's tennis team and head coach Lee Walker Taylor has announced the program's 2024 fall schedule.
The fall season begins on Sept. 12 as the Horned Frogs travel to San Francisco, Calif. to play in Battle in the Bay. The tournament features Stanford, Oklahoma State, USC, Pepperdine, Georgia, University of San Diego, Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, and Arizona State.
The Horned Frogs will return in state to play at the Baylor HEB Invitational in Waco, Texas from Sept. 20-22.
TCU will then travel several athletes to the ITA All-American Championships which take place on Sept. 21-29 in Cary, N.C.
The expanded fall schedule is a byproduct of a two-year pilot program between the NCAA and ITA to hold the NCAA Individual Championships at the conclusion of the fall season. The 64-woman singles field and 32-team doubles bracket will be determined by four championship events.
The road to the NCAA Championships starts with the ITA All-American Championships and continues on Oct. 10-14 when TCU hosts the ITA Texas Regional.
The Horned Frogs will host one more tournament in the fall, the TCU Jae Foundation Invitational, from Oct. 31-Nov. 3. Among the schools attending are BYU, Notre Dame, Arizona, Auburn, Illinois, Maryland, Rice, Texas A&M, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Baylor, SMU, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, and Kansas. The Jae Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on mental health, depression, and suicide awareness. Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the foundation.
TCU will then travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to play in the ITA Sectional Championships on Nov. 7-10. In conjunction with Sectionals is the ITA Masters National Championships, previously known as the ITA National Fall Championships, in San Diego, Calif.
The NCAA Individual Championships take place from Nov. 19-24 in Waco to round out the fall slate.
