They also became the program's first All-Americans since 2007
WACO - Jade Otway and Isabel Pascual of the TCU women's tennis team won in the round of 16 in the NCAA Doubles Championships today, advancing to the quarterfinals. They are the program's first quarter-finalists since Ana Cetnik and Anna Sydorska in 2007.
The Horned Frogs won in straight sets (6-3, 6-2), taking down Colorado's Anya Nelson and Ema Bubalo.
Otway and Pascual got off to a hot start, jumping to an early 4-0 lead in the first set. Although the Buffs fought back, taking two games in a row, the Frogs didn't let it phase them. TCU took two of the final three games, and won the first set, 6-3.

The second set opened up tight, with each team breaking to tie the score at 1-1. Otway held serve to give the Frogs a 2-1 lead, but Colorado won the next game, bringing the score to a 2-2 tie.
However, an Pascual hold of serve lit a spark and the Frogs never looked back. Otway and Pascual won the next three games in a row, to win the second set 6-2. Over the final four games of the second set, TCU only surrendered a total of five points.
