
Doubles Teams Advance to ITA Regional Semifinals

Otway/Pascual and Main/Tsai will take on duos from Texas Tech in the semifinals on Monday morning.
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's tennis team continues to dominate in the doubles draw, with both Jade Otway/Isabel Pascual and Tomi Main/Yu-Chin Tsai advancing to the semifinals of the ITA Texas Regional. The number one and number two seeded doubles teams in the region will take on Texas Tech at 8:30 am CT tomorrow morning at the TCU Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Otway and Pascual have won each of their matches by at least five games, most recently defeating Schwartzman and Martinez Hernandez (Rice) 8-3 this morning. Main and Tsai took on Bjork and Stavropoulos from SMU in the quarterfinals, coming back and winning 8-5.
Both duos will face teams from Texas Tech in the semifinals; Otway/Pascual will take on the number eight seeded, Sayfetdinova/Hlahola and Main/Tsai will play the number six seeded Lila/Dmitrichenko.
With a win in the semifinals, teams will advance to Tuesday's finals and have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships taking place at the end of November. The doubles champion from each region will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
Fans can receive free breakfast tacos and donuts at tomorrow's match. Admission to the ITA Texas Regional Championships is free and parking is available in the main lot of the Bayard H. Freidman Tennis Center.
