Nine Frogs Headed to NCAA D Zones

Minneapolis, Minnesota: Nine TCU divers are headed to Minneapolis, Minnesota for NCAA Zone D Diving competitions set from Mar. 7-Mar. 9 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center. Coverage for the meet will begin on BTN+ and live stats will be provided on DiveMeets.com.
The Horned Frogs competing for a chance to advance to the NCAA Championships are
March 7:
Women's 3-meter 11 a.m. prelims | 2 p.m. finals
Men's 1-meter 11 a.m. prelims | 1:50 p.m. finals
March 8:
Men's 3-meter 11 a.m. prelims | 2:25 p.m. finals
Women's 1-meter 11 a.m. prelims | 2:25 p.m. finals
March 9:
Men's platform 3:15 p.m. prelims | 4:25 p.m. finals
women's platform 11 a.m. prelims | 12:45 p.m. finals
On the women's side the top nine finishers in the one and three meter springboard will be eligible for the NCAA Championships. The top 10 finishers for the platform event will also qualify for the championships. For the men, the top seven divers from the 1-meter, the nine best divers in the 3-meter and the five best scores in the platform will all advance to NCAA Championships.
Last Time Out: The TCU Dive team sat on top of the leaderboards at the Big 12 Championships. Starting with David Ekdahl, the sophomore went back-to-back winning gold on the 1-meter springboard and a school record. Max Burman finished just behind Ekdahl in third. Alec Hubbard led the way for the Frogs in the platform with a silver medal in the event and the new school record. Anna Kwong won the silver medal on the 1-meter breaking the school record.
