Ekdahl is Headed to the NCAA Championships

Ekdahl places fourth in the 1-meter
Minneapolis, Minnesota: David Ekdahl is headed back to the NCAA National Championships after a stellar day one at the NCAA Zone D Championships at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
The sophomore will compete for a National Championship in the 1-meter for the second year in a row.
All four men's divers qualify for the finals with top six scores from Max Burman and David Ekdahl. Burman finished the prelims with the third highest score of 361.55 and Ekdahl placed sixth (352.70). Alec Hubbard finished in 14th and Ollie Cazaly placed 16th making the last spot in the finals.
In the finals, Ekdahl needed a top six finish to advance to the NCAA men's NAtional CHampionships. The sophomore finished as the fourth best diver in Zone D with a score of 709.20, qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Burman finished in eighth place narrowly missing the qualification by less than three points.
The women's team failed to qualify for the 3-meter finals finishing short during the preliminaries.
