FORT WORTH – The Horned Frogs return to action this weekend as they head to Waco, Texas for the Michael Johnson Invitational.

The TCU track & field teams recorded several Top 10 times in program history at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite.
Gracie Morris broke the school record in the 1500m, a record that has stood since 1987. Her time of 4:14.59 earned her a second-place finish and the No. 9 time in the NCAA this season.
The squad of Kundai Maguranyanga, Robert Gregory Jr., Ethan Brown and Tinotenda Matiyenga clocked a 3:02.26 in the 4x400, placing third overall among college teams. The time was the third-fastest time in program history and the No. 6 time in the NCAA this season.
Lakelin Conrad ran the sixth fastest time in TCU history in the 5000m with a time of 14:25.54, finishing fourth overall. In the shot put, Devin Roberson threw the fifth furthest throw in history with a mark of 17.48m (57-4.25).
Fernando Martinez recorded the second highest mark in program history in the pole vault with his mark of 5.07m (16-7.50). He finished sixth overall.
In the women's 800m run, Jasmin Muhammad-Graham and Rylan Engels both cracked the Top 10 list in TCU program history. Muhammad Graham's time of 2:09.67 put her fifth on TCU's all-time list and Engels' time of 2:09.84 is good for sixth.

2022 NCAA Indoor Championships
The Horned Frogs shined at the NCAA Indoor Championships with the men's team finishing 10th overall with a team score of 20 points.
Robert Gregory Jr. was named the national runner-up in the 200m with a time of 20.77 and Tinotenda Matiyenga followed closely behind him by finishing third with a time of 20.84. Both Frogs earned First Team All-America honors.
Chengetayi (Du) Mapaya was named a First Team All-American after earning bronze in the triple jump with a mark of 16.51m (54-2).

Mapaya returns for his final outdoor season to defend his national title in the outdoor triple jump from 2019. He also garnered a bronze medal at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships as well. As a freshman in 2018, Mapaya reached the championship in the triple jump and finished third with a 16.38m (53-9) jump.
Mapaya secured the national championship in the most dramatic fashion possible. Going into his sixth and final jump of the night, Mapaya was in third place after a jump of 16.94m (55-7) in his fifth attempt. On the final jump of the competition, Mapaya jumped 17.13m (56-2.5) passing up event leader Jordan Scott of Virginia (17.01m, 55-9.75) and winning the national championship. It was TCU's first national title in track and field since Ronnie Baker won the 60m dash in 2016.
He broke the school record in the triple jump at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships with a mark of 16.95m (55-7.5). He currently holds both the indoor and outdoor TCU triple jump records.
