
TCU Can’t Overcome No. 8 Texas

AUSTIN – TCU women's tennis (8-7) couldn't get a win against defending national champion No. 8 Texas (10-3) on Sunday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center, in Austin. The Longhorns won the doubles point before claiming all six singles matches, for a 7-0 final score.
TCU had a hard time finding points in doubles play, dropping the doubles point with losses from the No. 2 and No. 3 pairings. TCU is 9-6 in doubles points this season.
The Longhorns carried the momentum into singles, winning all six available points. TCU forced to sets into tiebreakers against ranked opponents, with freshman Jade Otway pushing No. 106 Zeynalova into a breaker in their second set while Isabel Pascual forced No. 95 Rapolu into going the distance in their opening set but neither Frog could secure the victory.
