Another TCU Dive Record Falls

TCU Dive hits 11 Zone cuts
College Station, Texas — TCU Swim and Dive fell to Texas A&M on Friday at the Texas A&M Natatorium.
David Ekdahl sits atop TCU diving history as he now holds the 1-meter and the 3-meter school records. Following last week's performance, the sophomore set the stage for his all-time performance on the 1-meter, scoring 398.55.
Sophomore Alec Hubbard joined Ekdahl on the all-time TCU leader board scoring 383.33 in the 3-meter. Hubbard secured a zone cut as well on the 1-meter with a score of 344.70.
The dive team as a whole combined for 11 Zone cuts. Ekdahl, Hubbard Max Burman scored 355.20 in the 1-meter and 380.40 in the 3-meter. Freshman Ollie Cazaly scored 325.13 in the 1-meter and 375.83 in the 3-meter. Anna Kwong added two more Zone cuts with 272.70 in the 1-meter and 357.90 3-meter. Freshman Lauren Cey concluded with a score of 293.10 in the 3-meter.
On the swim side, senior Emma Hultquist finished with a top time of 1:50.40 in the women's 200 freestyle. She added to her performance in the 100 freestyle finishing third.
Sophomore Geremia Freri totaled three second-place finishes. His first in the men's 200 freestyle where he clocked a 1:39.97. His 500-yard freestyle swim concluded at 4:31.71. Finally, in the 200-yard IM Freri swam a time of 1:52.99.
Two Frogs placed top three in the women's 50 freestyle Olivia Rhodes and Lucia Simovicova placed second and third respectively.
Serena Gould continued the momentum for the Frogs with a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle. In the men's 100 freestyle, Raphael Paiva Da raced to a silver medal finish with Dusan Babic finishing in third.
Janis Silins placed second in the 200 breaststroke, while Piotr Sadlowski placed second in the 200 butterfly.
