FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs enter the tournament in a historically strong run of form. They have won their last 15 dual matches dating back to Feb. 14, 2020, the longest winning streak since 2017 (17 matches).
TCU is 21-4 in singles matches this season after beginning the year with 16 consecutive singles wins, tied for the third-best start to singles play in program history (also 1996) and the best since 1981.
Alastair Gray enters play after claiming his second Big 12 Player of the Week honor this week. He is unbeaten in singles play, 6-0, and 13-1 in all matches this season, including eight wins over ranked opponents (four singles and four doubles).
The matchup against No. 7 Virginia will be the third ranked dual of the season. TCU defeated then-No. 6 Baylor and No. 20 Ole Miss already this season.
The Horned Frogs are entering National Indoors unbeaten (6-0) for the eighth time in program history and first time since 2015.
TCU is 21-26 all-time at Indoor Nationals and 6-6 in the David Roditi era.
The Field
TCU is one of eight teams battling for the Indoor National Title along with: No. 1 USC, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Baylor, No. 5 Texas, No. 7 Virginia, No. 10 Tennessee and Illinois.
The Big 12 leads the field with three representatives at this year's tournament. USC returns after claiming the title last season, defeating North Carolina in the championship match.
Five teams are returning from last season, including the Horned Frogs. TCU lost its first match in 2020 to the eventual champion USC Trojans, before defeating NC State and Texas A&M to begin it's still active 15-match winning streak.
