TCU Breezes Past ISU, 4-0

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 30 TCU women's tennis team completed a weekend sweep of its Big 12 competition as they downed Iowa State 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth.
After being forced indoors due to the wind, the Horned Frogs (12-7, 4-3 Big 12) jumped quickly to the 1-0 lead after easily securing the doubles point against the Cyclones (15-8, 1-6 Big 12). Madison Tedford and Sofiko Kadzhaya were first off the courts with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 position before Seda Arantekin and Marie Norris sealed the point with a 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot.
TCU continued its dominance into singles action as they easily won the first sets on four of the five courts in action and only allowed Iowa State to win three games between the four courts. Donika Bashota won her fourth straight match as she rolled past Annabella Bonadonna, 6-1, 6-0, on court four. Kadzhaya followed with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court two before Norris clinched the overall match win with a 6-0, 6-2 win at the No. 5 position.
